Bhitai Group digital skills initiative connects students with NCSP, PSEB for freelancing & IT upskilling

MIRPUR KHAS: Bhitai Group of Colleges has partnered with the National Computer Skills Program (NCSP) and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) to roll out a focused digital skills initiative aimed at boosting IT, computer and freelancing competencies among students across its Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Nursing and Pharmacy institutes.

The open house session, organized under the leadership of Managing Director Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, brought NCSP and PSEB representatives to campus to provide practical guidance on how students can learn, earn and build sustainable digital careers.

Why digital skills matter for health, allied students

Allied health graduates increasingly benefit from digital literacy and freelancing skills in a global market that rewards remote services, telehealth support, medical content creation and health-tech roles. By integrating IT training with professional education, Bhitai Group is positioning students to access diversified income streams and increase employability.

Dr. Ghulam Mustafa and the Bhitai leadership emphasized that bridging clinical skills with digital capabilities is essential for modern health professionals who must navigate telemedicine platforms, electronic health records and online patient engagement tools.

What happened at the open house

During the session, NCSP and PSEB experts outlined training pathways, certification options and freelancing marketplaces where students can monetize their skills. Mr. Jamshaid Gohar, representing the partner organizations, received a shield of appreciation from Bhitai in recognition of his contributions to the initiative.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Faizan Rehman Burki together with the Administration, Medical Education, Student Affairs and IT Departments, ensuring cross-functional support for implementing the program across all colleges.

Who will benefit

  • Undergraduate students across Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy.
  • House officers and early-career clinicians wanting to add digital services.
  • Faculty and staff seeking to integrate digital competencies into curricula.

Next steps and impact

Bhitai Group plans to operationalize the NCSP-PSEB modules, run targeted workshops, and track student outcomes in freelancing and IT placements. The collaboration aims to create measurable pathways for youth empowerment, skill development and economic participation, aligning with national digitalization goals.

This initiative reinforces Bhitai’s commitment to holistic education by combining clinical excellence with future-ready digital skills.
