Bhitai Group of Colleges organizes Plantation Day 2025 in Mirpurkhas with strong commitment to climate action

MIRPURKHAS: The Bhitai Group of Colleges marked Plantation Day 2025 with a vibrant and purpose-driven event organized by the Student Affairs Department under the guidance of the institution’s management. The initiative underscored the group’s long-standing commitment to environmental sustainability and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The event was led by Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, alongside Dr. Mushtaque Khan, Deputy Managing Director; Dr. Captain Muhammad Iqbal Memon, Executive Director; Eng. M. Saleem Memon, Executive Director; Mr. Altaf Butt, Director HR; Dr. Permanend, Associate Dean; Dr. Arhama Surwaich, Principal Dental College; Madam Almas, Principal Nursing College; Dr. Ali Maqbool, Associate Dean and Director HPE; Dr. Nazir, Vice Principal and Deputy Director HPE; Dr. Bisma Khizer, Incharge Student Affairs; Dr. Arsalan Ahmed, Deputy Director QAC; and Dr. Faizan-ur-Rehman Burki, Deputy Director QEC, IT and Marketing. The successful execution of the event was made possible with strong support from the Administration, IT, and Marketing Departments.

The entire Bhitai Group of Colleges community — including faculty members and students from various disciplines — actively participated in the event.

Event highlights included:

  • Special prayers led by Dr. Ghulam Mustafa for the prosperity and well-being of Pakistan.
  • An insightful speech by Dr. Mushtaque Khan emphasizing the environmental, social, and health benefits of tree plantation.
  • A hands-on plantation activity involving all attendees.
  • Distribution of Pakistan badges and flags among faculty and students to honor the nation’s upcoming Independence Day celebrations.

In his remarks, the management reiterated:
