Bhitai Group of Colleges holds Inter-College Sports Gala 2026 in Mirpurkhas
MIRPURKHAS: Mirpurkhas witnessed an electrifying transformation as Bhitai Group of Colleges held its Inter-College Sports Gala 2026, turning the PCB Ground into a living symbol of unity, discipline, and youthful energy. The three-day mega event brought together students from BDS, Physiotherapy (DPT), Nursing, and Pharmacy, reflecting a bold commitment to holistic education beyond classrooms.
The inauguration ceremony was held under the visionary leadership of Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, Managing Director, and Dr. Mushtaq Khan, Deputy Managing Director. The event also carried the patronage of Prof. Dr. Asaad Javaid, Dean; Mr. Aamir Shakoor, Deputy Managing Director; Captain Dr. Iqbal Memon, Executive Director; Prof. Dr. Laiq Thebo, Executive Director; and Prof. Dr. Permanand, Associate Dean, along with the respected principals of the DPT, Nursing, and Pharmacy Colleges.
The Sports Gala was executed under the supervision of Dr. Arsalan Ahmed, Chairman of the Sports Committee, and Mr. Anwar, Sports Incharge. They were supported by a dedicated committee comprising Dr. Bisma Kizhar (BDS), Mr. Teerath (Nursing), Dr. Memoona (Pharmacy), and Dr. Iqra Nisar (DPT). The organizing team includes Dr. Shaviya Shakeel, Dr. Anique, and Miss Naila, whose coordination and planning ensured the smooth launch of this large-scale sporting festival.
The grand opening ceremony at PCB Ground was a visual spectacle. Student teams entered the arena in coordinated outfits and themed masks, parading with confidence and discipline. Each group introduced itself with pride, reflecting identity, unity, and institutional belonging. To further enhance morale, official souvenirs including caps and T-shirts were distributed among students and faculty members, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Competitions featured cricket, football, badminton, tug-of-war, and a variety of indoor games. The matches quickly turned into displays of healthy rivalry and sportsmanship, with students and faculty members sharing moments of leadership, resilience, and teamwork throughout the day.
