LUMHS shines at Dentallnnovate 2.0 with outstanding student talent and award-winning entries
KARACHI: The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) made a remarkable impact at Dentallnnovate 2.0, held at the Karachi Expo Centre and hosted by LCMD. LUMHS outperformed several participating institutions with record participation, clinching top accolades across multiple creative categories.
On Day 3 of the event, LUMHS delivered the highest number of screenings, featuring six engaging reels and two compelling short films. These entries were submitted under the dynamic supervision of Dr. Jazib Memon, who also represented the university as the youngest speaker in the Scientific Session, underlining the institution’s academic strength.
The team’s creative excellence was further recognized through prestigious wins:
- 2nd position in Reels: Team members Zainab, Nandani, Jawad, Soni, Koonj, and Dr. Jazib Memon.
- 3rd position in Short Film: Team included Sameen Khalid, Mashal Ghani, Fahad Aziz, and Dr. Jazib Memon.
In addition to film success, LUMHS secured the Best Performance Award in Role Play, a highlight of the event that captivated audiences and judges alike. The winning team included Sufyan, Abdul Qadir, Haris Aziz, Muhammad Talha, Hammad Hanif, Hafsa, and Abeer. This powerful performance was directed under the guidance of Dr. Rabia Anis and Dr. Waqas Memon.
The university's participation and coordination were spearheaded by a dedicated faculty team comprising Dr. Rabia Anis, Dr. Sana Mirza, Dr. Jazib Memon, and Dr. Waqas Memon—underscoring LUMHS’s commitment to empowering students through creativity, clinical knowledge, and academic leadership.
