IADSR to conduct hands-on workshop on exodontia techniques
LAHORE: The Institute of Advanced Dental Sciences & Research (IADSR) will organize a two-day Workshop on Exodontia Techniques on October 31 and November 1, offering dental professionals an intensive hands-on learning experience in surgical extractions and related clinical procedures.
The workshop will be led by Prof. Dr. Arshad Mahmood, Dean of HBS Dental College Islamabad, who holds distinguished qualifications including MDS, FICD, FPFA, FPAOMFS, and FPSOMP. The training aims to elaborate exodontia criteria from an operational standpoint to help participants master specific surgical techniques with practical, live-patient management.
Objectives and learning outcomes
The workshop is designed to equip participants with comprehensive understanding and skills in exodontia. Attendees will:
- Learn the fundamentals of local anesthesia and exodontia.
- Practice proper use of elevators and forceps.
- Perform routine and surgical extractions with precision.
- Manage fractured roots and third molar extractions effectively.
- Handle impactions with awareness of difficulty indexes and clinical approaches.
Through a combination of expert-led demonstrations and supervised clinical practice, participants will gain real-time experience in patient handling and operative techniques.
