BADC Larkana organizes seminar on writing a research proposal
LARKANA: The Department of Community Dentistry, Bibi Aseefa Dental College (BADC), organized an interactive and informative seminar titled “Writing A Research Proposal: Challenges And Solutions” at the college’s Smart Room.
The session was facilitated by Prof. Dr. A. Bari Memon, who guided participants through the key components of a successful research proposal — from identifying a relevant topic to formulating objectives, reviewing literature, and addressing ethical considerations.
Students and House Officers actively participated in the discussion and hands-on exercises designed to improve their understanding of research methodology, academic writing, and proposal structuring techniques.
The seminar also addressed common challenges faced by early-stage researchers, such as lack of guidance, data limitations, and citation management. Prof. Dr. Memon emphasized the importance of developing a clear research question, maintaining academic integrity, and adhering to institutional and ethical guidelines throughout the research process.
Conducted in a friendly and encouraging environment, the event promoted academic curiosity, collaboration, and teamwork, inspiring participants to pursue research-driven excellence in dentistry.
Faculty members appreciated the initiative of the Department of Community Dentistry for organizing a session that aligns with HEC’s vision of promoting research culture and evidence-based learning in higher education institutions.
