Poster competition on plaque control held at BADC Larkana

LARKANA: The Department of Community Dentistry at Bibi Aseefa Dental College (BADC) Larkana recently organized an engaging poster competition on plaque control for 2nd Year BDS Batch 13. The event was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. A. Bari Memon, Chairperson Department of Community Dentistry.

Themed “Plaque Control In The 21st Century: From Toothbrushes To Technology,” the competition aimed to raise awareness about the importance of oral hygiene and modern approaches to maintaining plaque-free teeth.

A total of thirteen student groups participated and presented innovative, research-backed posters on preventive oral care. Each group focused on educating peers about brushing techniques, interdental cleaning, advanced oral hygiene tools, and the role of digital technology in promoting dental health.

Judges carefully evaluated all entries and awarded positions to the top-performing teams based on creativity, accuracy, and educational impact.

Prof. Dr. A. Bari Memon and Prof. Dr. Qaimuddin Shaikh, Principal BADC Larkana, appreciated the efforts of the students, emphasizing the importance of combining creativity with dental education. They encouraged participants to continue using academic platforms to spread oral health awareness among communities.
