KARACHI: Dow Dental College, a constituent of the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), is organizing an interactive seminar titled “Robotics in Dental Implantology: A New Era for Patient Care” on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 11:30 am onwards at Dow Dental College.
This informative session will explore the integration of robotics in dental implantology, focusing on innovative approaches for enhanced patient care. The event will be graced by Prof. M. Saeed Quraishy T.I, Vice Chancellor of DUHS, as Program Chairman, with Dr. Sabir Memon, Executive Director of SMBBIT, serving as Co-Chair. The program is directed by Prof. Shahjahan Katpar, Head of Department, Maxillofacial Surgery, and coordinated by Dr. Chunder Kumar, Head of Periodontology. Dr. Saaduddin Siddiqui, Incharge, Oral Medicine Department, is overseeing registration.
The keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Syed Zafar Sayeedi, a renowned Dental Implantologist based in California, USA. With over a thousand implants placed across many clinics, Dr. Sayeedi specializes in surgery using the Yomi Robot and has completed more than 500 CEs in Implantology, General and Digital Dentistry. He has trained in over 20 countries and brings vast experience in robotics, soft tissue and hard tissue grafting, sleep apnea, 3D printing, digital workflow, and full-mouth rehabilitation procedures like All-on-X. Dr. Sayeedi will also shed light on career prospects in the USA for dental professionals.
