CIMS Dental College hosts first-ever student-led hands-on dental implant workshop in Multan
MULTAN: In a groundbreaking step for student-driven clinical education, CIMS Dental College successfully organized its first-ever hands-on dental implant workshop as a pre-congress event for the Annual Dental Congress 2025. Conducted in partnership with the Pakistan Association of Dental Students (PADS), the workshop attracted 30 participants, marking a defining moment in student-led academic leadership.
Vision and leadership
The workshop was conceptualized and organized by final-year dental students Syeda Farwa Ali and Iqra Kanwal, members of the pioneering batch of CIMS Dental College. Their month-long efforts in planning, coordination, and logistics turned a visionary idea into reality. Faculty and participants commended the duo for their outstanding organizational skills, describing the event as “exceptionally well-executed and impactful.”
Academic program and expert guidance
The workshop offered a balanced mix of lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on training in dental implantology. Expert faculty, including Lt Col Dr. Muzamal Maqsood Butt (Head of Prosthodontics) and Col Dr. Shahid Iqbal Khan (Head of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery), guided participants through clinical procedures and evidence-based approaches.
The training was further supported by Mr. Sharafat Ali of 3C International, who conducted live demonstrations, and SGS Implants, which provided essential tools and materials to enhance the practical experience.
