Bhitai Dental & Medical College strengthens research culture through nursing research seminar 2026
MIRPURKHAS: The Bhitai Dental & Medical College has taken a decisive step toward strengthening Pakistan’s academic healthcare ecosystem by leading the Nursing Research Seminar 2026, organized in collaboration with Bhitai College of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences.
The initiative reflects a growing emphasis on inter-professional learning, evidence-based practice, and research-driven education within the Bhitai Group of Colleges, positioning the institution as a proactive contributor to modern healthcare training.

Celebrating nursing excellence through research
Held under the theme “Heart of Healthcare: Celebrating Nursing Excellence,” the seminar featured research presentations by Final Year BS Nursing students from the first graduating batch affiliated with Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University.
Students presented evidence-based research projects addressing real-world healthcare challenges, patient-centered care models, and emerging trends in nursing practice—demonstrating both academic maturity and clinical relevance.
Building research skills, academic confidence
The seminar provided a structured academic platform where students were able to present findings, defend methodologies, and engage in scholarly discussion with faculty evaluators. This experience not only enhanced research literacy but also strengthened critical thinking, communication skills, and professional confidence among future nurses.
Faculty members from both institutions actively supervised and evaluated the presentations, reinforcing shared standards of academic rigor, ethical research conduct, and quality assurance.
Institutional leadership, academic vision
The initiative received strong appreciation from Chief Executive Officer Dr. Zulfiqar Yousufani and Managing Director Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, who reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to research-oriented, interdisciplinary healthcare education aligned with national and international academic benchmarks.
The organizing committee acknowledged the leadership and support of Dr. Sohail Ahmed Khero (Executive Director), Dr. Rumesa Nazir (Deputy Director), and Ms. Almas Ashraf (Principal, Bhitai College of Nursing, Mirpurkhas), along with faculty members and evaluators who ensured the seminar’s academic success.
Advancing integrated healthcare education
The Nursing Research Seminar 2026 stands as a clear indicator of Bhitai Dental & Medical College’s role in bridging disciplines, nurturing research culture, and preparing healthcare professionals capable of responding to evolving patient and system-level demands.
By integrating nursing research into a broader academic framework, the institution continues to contribute meaningfully to the future of collaborative, research-driven healthcare education in Pakistan.
