Bhitai Dental & Medical College initiates Journal Club 2026 for new House Officers
MIRPURKHAS: In a significant step toward strengthening research culture and evidence-based clinical practice, Bhitai Dental and Medical College has formally launched its Journal Club Session 2026 for the newly inducted batch of House Officers.
The academic session marked the beginning of a structured learning platform designed to enhance critical thinking, research interpretation, and scholarly discussion among early-career dental and medical professionals.

The session commenced with an insightful presentation by Prof. Dr. Ali Maqbool, Director Health Professional Education, who elaborated on how to effectively conduct and present a Journal Club. He emphasized the role of journal clubs in developing analytical skills, improving understanding of scientific literature, and translating research evidence into clinical decision-making.
Addressing the House Officers, Prof. Maqbool highlighted that journal clubs are not merely academic exercises, but foundational tools for cultivating lifelong learning and research-oriented clinical reasoning.

Adding a strong practical dimension to the session, Dr. Muhammad Anique, Director Research & Development, guided participants on designing effective presentation slides for journal articles. His session focused on structuring content clearly, presenting data responsibly, and communicating research findings with precision and clarity.

The session was attended by Prof. Dr. Asad Javed, Dean of Bhitai Dental & Medical College, along with senior and junior faculty members.
