Journal Club at BDMC promotes research orientation and evidence-based practice
MIRPURKHAS: The research cell at Bhitai Dental and Medical College (BDMC), Mirpurkhas, successfully organized a journal club activity aimed at fostering evidence-based learning, critical appraisal skills, and research orientation among both faculty and students.
During the session, research articles from internationally recognized journals were presented and thoughtfully discussed. Presenters highlighted study objectives, methodologies, results, and conclusions, which sparked engaging and analytical discussions about each study’s strengths, limitations, and clinical relevance.
Faculty members played a vital role by guiding participants, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring students on how to critically evaluate scientific literature. Their involvement emphasized the importance of research-driven decision-making in clinical and academic practice.
This initiative forms part of BDMC’s long-term commitment to academic excellence, analytical thinking, and professional growth. By encouraging active participation and developing evidence-based practice skills, BDMC aims to prepare future healthcare professionals who are not only well-trained clinically but also research-oriented and critical thinkers.
The research cell at BDMC continues to pave the way for an enriching academic environment where faculty development and student engagement are aligned with global standards of medical and dental education.
