NEW YORK: Pakistan made a powerful impact at the Greater New York Dental Meeting (GNYDM) 2025, held recently at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, 11th Avenue, New York. More than 130 countries participated in this prestigious global event, with over 30 Pakistani delegates representing the country with exceptional enthusiasm and professional excellence.
Pakistan’s keynote moment: A landmark two-hour presentation
In a major recognition for Pakistan, the International College of Dentists (ICD) invited Professor Arshad Malik as the opening keynote speaker, jointly presenting with Professor Nauman Khan on the topic “Laser in dentistry.”
The two-hour session received outstanding appreciation from the international audience and GNYDM organizers, marking one of Pakistan’s most prominent academic contributions at the global forum.
ICD induction ceremony honors distinguished Pakistani professionals
The ICD induction ceremony celebrated dental excellence, leadership, and humanitarian service. The College, founded in 1920 and known as one of the world’s most prestigious honorary organizations in dentistry, formally inducted outstanding professionals from across the globe.
Pakistan’s presence was especially notable this year as the College welcomed its newest FICD fellows from the country. Regent Professor Arshad Malik introduced the Pakistani inductees, each recognized for exemplary contributions to clinical practice, education, research, and community service.
