Case presentation competition at Ziauddin University showcases top talent in operative dentistry
KARACHI: The Operative Dentistry Department, in collaboration with the BDS Student Council of Ziauddin University, successfully organized a case presentation competition for final-year students at Ziauddin College of Dentistry. The event provided an excellent platform for students to demonstrate their clinical competence, diagnostic reasoning, and evidence-based treatment planning — key skills in modern operative dentistry.
Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Asmat Jameel, Head of the Operative Dentistry Department, six talented students presented their clinical cases before an esteemed panel of judges comprising Prof. Dr. Marium Iqbal and Prof. Dr. Farah Naz. The judges praised the participants for their thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient management, and restorative techniques.
The winners of the competition were:
- Romessa Hassan – 1st prize
- Dua Siddiqui – 2nd prize
- Meher Lodhi, Fatima Aqeel, Daniyal Khawar, and Fatima Rasool – participants
