High turnout, strong science: PDA–DTMA dental conference and exhibition shine on Day 2

LAHORE: The second day of Pakistan’s largest integrated dental gathering — the 8th DTMA Dental Exhibition, held alongside the 14th International and 34th National Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) Dental Conference — concluded on Saturday evening with peak footfall, robust scientific participation, and visibly heightened trade activity at the Expo Center Lahore.

Traditionally the busiest day of the three-day format, Saturday lived up to expectations as dental professionals, students, academicians and industry stakeholders from across the country filled conference halls and exhibition aisles from morning until close.

Scientific program maintains momentum across halls

The PDA scientific conference continued at full pace throughout Day 2, with parallel sessions in Hall A and Hall B drawing consistent attendance across the day.

General dentistry sessions remained a central attraction, addressing real-world clinical challenges in endodontics, restorative dentistry, ceramics, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, implantology and facial aesthetics. These were complemented by specialty tracks in orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics and pedodontics, along with multidisciplinary panel discussions that encouraged critical professional dialogue.

Conference organizers observed that the practice-oriented focus, particularly sessions tailored for general practitioners, resonated strongly with delegates and sustained engagement well into the afternoon.

DTMA exhibition sees sustained crowd density, active engagement

Running in parallel, Day 2 of the DTMA Dental Exhibition witnessed the highest crowd density of the event so far, translating into longer interactions between exhibitors and visitors.

Exhibitors reported strong interest across dental equipment, digital dentistry solutions, implant systems, laboratory technologies, infection control products and practice management tools. Live demonstrations, product briefings and technical discussions continued throughout the day, with several exhibitors confirming promising follow-up meetings and early commercial leads.

DTMA President Ashraf Ali Ghauri described Saturday as a decisive day for the exhibition.

“Day 2 has clearly shown the strength of this integrated platform. The quality of engagement, the presence of decision-makers, and the sustained interest across the floor reflect growing confidence in Pakistan’s dental market,” he said.

Integrated format delivers tangible value

Observers noted that the PDA–DTMA integrated model, established through a memorandum of understanding earlier this year, was fully evident on Day 2. Delegates moved seamlessly between scientific sessions and the exhibition floor, allowing clinical learning to directly inform technology evaluation and purchasing decisions.

Industry leaders said this convergence is redefining national dental events in Pakistan, replacing fragmented meetings with a single, high-impact annual platform that serves education, policy and commerce simultaneously.

Eyes on the closing day

As the event moves into its final day on Sunday, organizers expect continued participation, particularly from students, families and practitioners completing scheduled visits.

The concluding day will feature remaining scientific sessions, wrap-up discussions and final exhibition activity, bringing Pakistan’s largest dental conference and trade exhibition to a coordinated close.

With two high-energy days completed, Day 3 is expected to consolidate outcomes, finalize business engagements and conclude the event on a strong professional and commercial note.
