Pakistan’s largest integrated dental conference and trade exhibition opens in Lahore

LAHORE: Pakistan’s biggest and most comprehensive dental event, the 8th DTMA Dental Exhibition, held alongside the 14th International and 34th National Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) Dental Conference, opens today, Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Expo Center Lahore, ushering in three days of intensive scientific learning, trade activity, and professional networking that will continue through Sunday, December 28.

The landmark event is jointly organized by the Dental Trade & Manufacturers Association Pakistan (DTMA) and the Pakistan Dental Association (PDA), translating a strategic vision into reality by uniting Pakistan’s premier dental scientific conference with its largest dental trade exhibition under a single national platform.

Historic opening backed by record industry response

The opening day follows an unprecedented pre-event milestone: all exhibition stalls were fully booked well in advance, reflecting strong confidence by local and international dental manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors in Pakistan’s rapidly expanding dental market.

Thousands of dental professionals, including clinicians, academicians, postgraduate trainees, students, manufacturers, traders, and industry leaders, are expected to pass through the halls of the Expo Center Lahore over the three days, making this the largest dental congregation in the country’s history.

Industry observers note that the scale, planning, and integration of this year’s event mark a clear evolution from earlier editions, positioning Pakistan as an increasingly relevant destination on the regional dental calendar.

Integration of science and trade

This year’s combined format is the direct outcome of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed earlier this year between PDA and DTMA, aimed at aligning professional education with dental trade and manufacturing.

Under this framework, PDA’s flagship international and national dental conference is now formally synchronized with the DTMA trade exhibition, reducing fragmentation, consolidating national efforts, and encouraging participation from all PDA regional and auxiliary bodies within one unified annual event.

The result is a high-impact ecosystem where clinical science, education, innovation, and commerce converge, offering tangible benefits to practitioners, students, manufacturers, and patients alike.

Comprehensive scientific program

Running in parallel with the exhibition, the PDA’s scientific conference opens today with an expansive, carefully curated academic agenda covering every major domain of contemporary dentistry.

Over the next three days, delegates will engage in sessions on restorative and esthetic dentistry, digital workflows, prosthodontics, implants, endodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, facial aesthetics, practice management, regulatory compliance, and the future of dentistry, including artificial intelligence and 3D printing.

Hands-on workshops, expert-led lectures, interactive panel discussions, and evidence-based clinical sessions are designed to bridge theory with practice, ensuring immediate applicability for dental professionals across Pakistan.

DTMA exhibition showcases cutting-edge dental technologies

The 8th DTMA Dental Exhibition features an extensive showcase of dental equipment, materials, instruments, digital dentistry solutions, implants, laboratory technologies, infection control systems, and practice management tools.

Exhibitors from across Pakistan and overseas are presenting live demonstrations, new product launches, and exclusive expo offerings, giving practitioners direct access to the latest innovations shaping global oral healthcare.

Drawing from the momentum of last year’s Karachi edition, where business deals worth Rs1.2 billion were finalized, organizers expect even greater commercial activity this year, driven by the added presence of the PDA conference and increased national participation.

Shaping the future of dentistry in Pakistan

As proceedings commence today, stakeholders across the dental spectrum view the 2025 DTMA–PDA joint event as a defining moment for Pakistan’s oral healthcare landscape.

By integrating scientific excellence with industrial innovation, the three-day mega event aims to strengthen professional standards, accelerate technology adoption, and reinforce Pakistan’s position as an emerging regional hub for dental education, trade, and innovation.
