Karachi’s top public-sector dentist gets landmark promotion
KARACHI: In a major boost for public-sector dentistry in Sindh, senior dental surgeon Dr. Kapal Dev Maheshwari has been promoted to BS-19 and appointed as Additional Chief Dental Surgeon at Dr. Ruth K M Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi—one of Pakistan’s busiest and most strategically important healthcare institutions.
The elevation marks a significant milestone in a career built on more than two decades of continuous government service. Dr Kapal Dev is a graduate of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), (Class of 2003). The development carries broader symbolic weight for Pakistan’s public dental sector.
