PMDC National Registration Examination Step-I to be held on December 14, 2025
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially announced the schedule for the upcoming National Registration Examination (NRE) Step-I, which will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
According to the public notice issued by Dr. Syed Rehan Asghar Naqvi, Registrar of PMDC, the online registration portal for NRE Step-I will remain open from November 14 to November 25, 2025. Candidates are required to complete their registration within this timeframe through the official PMDC website (www.pmdc.pk).
The NRE — a mandatory examination for foreign medical and dental graduates seeking registration to practice in Pakistan — evaluates candidates’ theoretical knowledge and clinical understanding based on international medical education standards.
The PMDC further stated that details regarding NRE standards, structure, and syllabus are available on the Council’s website. Candidates are advised to regularly visit www.pmdc.pk for updates and further information.
The announcement marks a significant step in maintaining transparency, academic integrity, and professional competency within Pakistan’s medical and dental education framework.
