LUMHS pre-conference endodontics workshop to focus on precision, modern techniques
JAMSHORO: Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, has announced a specialized pre-conference endodontics workshop as part of the upcoming 6th International Dental Conference themed “Transforming oral health: Where technology meets tradition.” The workshop aims to strengthen clinical competence in endodontic access identification and preparation using contemporary, evidence-based approaches.
Focus on precision, advanced endodontic concepts
The hands-on training, titled “Precision in endodontics: Access identification & preparation,” will be facilitated by Dr. Kelash Kumar (BDS, FCPS, CHPE), associate professor of operative dentistry & endodontics and vice principal at Baqai Dental College, BMU, Karachi.
Designed to elevate practitioners' diagnostic and clinical skills, the workshop covers:
- Endo-dynamics, including speed (RPM) and torque (N.cm)
- Traditional and modern endodontic access concepts
- Understanding missed canals and variations in canal anatomy
- Identification of MB2, middle mesial and C-shaped canals
- Use of 0.04 and 0.06 taper rotary files
- Canal preparation using different file systems
- Irrigation roles and clinical protocols
- Combination techniques for optimized outcomes
