PIMA dentistry to host online CME on practical pediatric dentistry for general dentists
KARACHI: The Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) dentistry is set to organize an online continuing medical education (CME) session focused on practical pediatric dentistry for general dentists, bringing together students and practitioners for a structured learning experience on child dental care.
The session, titled “Practical pediatric dentistry for general dentists: from behavior management to dental emergencies,” will be held online on February 6, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. It is designed for dental students, house officers, young dentists in private practice, and general dental practitioners seeking to strengthen their clinical confidence in managing pediatric patients.
The CME will be delivered by Dr. Sara Rahman, a specialist in pediatric dentistry with international academic credentials. She holds postgraduate qualifications in pediatric dentistry from New York College University and Hong Kong University, along with professional memberships including MPaed Dent (RCSED), RCS Eng, and RCS Glasgow.
The session will focus on real-world challenges faced by general dentists when treating children, including effective behavior management strategies and the handling of dental emergencies in pediatric patients. Organizers say the program aims to bridge the gap between theory and daily practice, offering practical guidance that can be applied immediately in clinical settings.
