KARACHI: In an effort to revolutionize health professions education in Pakistan, the Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM) has officially welcomed Batch 4 of its Certificate in Health Professions Education (CHPE) program. Far beyond a routine faculty training event, this initiative represents a strategic effort to cultivate reflective, innovative, and leadership-driven educators capable of shaping the future of healthcare in the country.

This new cohort brings together 18 highly motivated participants, including dental, medical, and nursing faculty, all committed to enhancing their teaching competencies and transforming how health education is delivered nationwide. Through structured modules, interactive workshops, and scholarly activities, the CHPE program equips participants to become educators who inspire excellence, foster critical thinking, and implement modern pedagogical strategies.

Senior faculty highlighted that programs like CHPE are not just certifications—they are catalysts for national progress.

“The healthcare system thrives only when educators are trained to teach, lead, and innovate,” said a representative from AIDM. “Batch 4 is one of our strongest cohorts, ready to translate learning into action across classrooms and clinics.”

Participants will engage in hands-on exercises, reflective practices, and interprofessional collaboration, ensuring they are prepared to mentor students effectively, improve curricula, and champion quality education in their institutions. By combining dental, medical, and nursing perspectives, CHPE fosters a holistic approach to professional training that is rare in Pakistan’s current landscape.

With each cohort, AIDM strengthens its role as a beacon of academic leadership, demonstrating that investing in faculty development is key to improving healthcare outcomes nationwide. For aspiring educators and institutions alike, CHPE Batch 4 is a powerful model of how structured, intentional training can transform education and, ultimately, patient care.
