Oral cancer study day at Fatima Memorial Dental Hospital highlights advanced reconstruction and rehabilitation techniques

LAHORE: Fatima Memorial Dental Hospital (FMDH) is set to host an oral cancer study day on Friday, October 24, 2025, focusing on one of the most critical areas of head and neck surgery — reconstruction and rehabilitation in oral cancer.

The academic session will feature an expert lecture and a case-based discussion led by Mr Abdul Ahmed, a distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeon from the United Kingdom.

Mr Ahmed holds multiple credentials, including BDS, MFDSRCS, MBChB, MRCS, DOHNS, PGCert, FRCS(OMFS), and serves as Course Director of Microvascular Surgery for Head and Neck Region. He is currently the Consultant Surgeon for London North West Healthcare University NHS Trust, Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London. He also serves as an Educational Supervisor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for the London School of Surgery.
