PDA Lahore mourns passing of Khawar Waheed after tragic road accident
LAHORE: The Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) Lahore Chapter has announced with profound sorrow the passing of Mr. Khawar Waheed, father of Dr. Osama Waheed, Associate Professor at Lahore Medical and Dental College (LMDC), and brother-in-law of Prof. Nazia Yazdanie, former Principal of de’Montmorency College of Dentistry.
According to the statement issued by PDA Lahore, Khawar Waheed passed away one month after the tragic demise of his wife, Mrs. Shaheen Khawar (Nazo). Both had sustained critical injuries in a devastating road traffic accident on Lahore’s Ring Road. Mrs. Shaheen Khawar succumbed to her injuries earlier, while Mr. Khawar Waheed remained under treatment before passing away today.
The association expressed deep grief over the loss and extended its heartfelt condolences to Prof. Nazia Yazdanie, Dr. Osama Waheed, and the bereaved family. In its message, PDA Lahore prayed that Allah Almighty grants maghfarat to the departed souls, elevates their ranks in Jannah, and bestows patience and strength upon the family during this time of immense sorrow.
Funeral prayers (Namaz-e-Janaza) for Khawar Waheed will be offered on Wednesday, 11 February, after Zuhr prayers at Lake City M-7 Mosque. The venue is located at House No. 9, Street 5, M-7, Lake City, Lahore.
The passing of Khawar Waheed has deeply saddened members of the dental fraternity, who have expressed solidarity with the family in this moment of collective grief.
