Faculty development workshop enhances active learning strategies at Dow Dental College
KARACHI: A faculty development workshop focused on active learning strategies was conducted at Dow Dental College under the guidance of Dr. Naresh Kumar, Principal. This enriching session was expertly facilitated by Dr. Saqif Nasir and Dr. Amber Saeed, with Dr. Rida Fatima organizing the activity for the faculty members.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the faculty's skills in designing and delivering effective lessons that engage students actively. Participants were introduced to two hands-on engagement tools and learned to design BOPPPS-based lesson plans to enhance classroom delivery. The session emphasized not just content delivery, but also how to engage students and foster better learning environments.
A special acknowledgment was given to the Professional Development Center (PDC) at DUHS, which facilitated the smooth execution of the event. The PDC's support was instrumental in ensuring the workshop's success, allowing participants to benefit from a well-organized and interactive experience.
