Ziauddin University organizes dental awareness camp for children at Sirat-ul-Jannah orphanage

KARACHI: The BDS Student Council of Ziauddin University recently organized a dental awareness camp at Sirat-ul-Jannah Orphanage. The camp was aimed to promote oral health and community well-being. Led by President Mehar Lodhi, Vice President Raafay Khalid, Team Leader Areeba Maqsood, and the council’s community service team, the initiative highlighted the university’s commitment to serving society through impactful educational activities.

Children at the orphanage were taught the importance of good oral hygiene with interactive brushing demonstrations that made learning both effective and enjoyable. To add an element of fun, the session also included coloring activities and engaging games that kept the young participants excited while reinforcing healthy habits.

As part of encouraging long-term dental care, Sensodyne samples were distributed among the children, giving them practical tools to start their oral hygiene journey.

The efforts of volunteers were recognized with certificates of appreciation, underscoring the spirit of teamwork and community service fostered by Ziauddin University’s student council. Their dedication not only spread knowledge about oral health but also brought smiles and joy to the children of Sirat-ul-Jannah orphanage.
