LAHORE: In a significant milestone for Pakistan’s dental community, Dr Muhammad Azeem, Head of Orthodontics at Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Sciences (FJIDS), Lahore, has been appointed international advisor to the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG).

The appointment, effective for three years, positions Dr Azeem as part of the College’s Pakistan Advisory Group, with a mandate to strengthen academic, clinical and professional collaboration between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.

Strengthening Pakistan–UK dental links

In his new role, Dr Azeem will work closely with RCPSG leadership and fellow advisors to enhance training standards, promote structured professional development and support cross-border partnerships in dentistry and healthcare education. The position also involves annual participation in international advisory meetings, bringing together experts from across the globe to guide the College’s global engagement strategy.

RCPSG International Director Mr John Scott, in an official appointment letter, welcomed Dr Azeem’s inclusion, noting the value of his academic leadership and professional experience in advancing the College’s international mission.
