Mastering prescription writing in pediatric dentistry conducted at Ziauddin University
KARACHI: A highly successful workshop on mastering prescription writing in pediatric dentistry was recently organized by the pediatric dentistry department of Ziauddin College of Dentistry, Ziauddin University, to enhance the clinical and pharmacological skills of dental professionals.
The interactive session was led by Prof. Dr. Asmat Jameel, head of the department of operative dentistry, and Dr. Sadaf Ali, assistant professor, pediatric dentistry department. The event was facilitated by Dr. Muhammad Hasan Rafique, lecturer, pediatric dentistry department.
The workshop focused on:
- Essentials of pediatric pharmacology
- Weight-based dosing for children
- Safe and evidence-based prescription practices
A hands-on training component allowed participants to practice writing prescriptions for various real-life clinical scenarios, ensuring they gained practical experience alongside theoretical knowledge.
