Senior dentist Dr Jamshed Ahmad Khilji passes away in Lahore
LAHORE: With deep sorrow and grief, the dental community mourns the passing of Dr Jamshed Ahmad Khilji, a distinguished dentist, senior member of the Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) Lahore, and founder of the well-known Victoria Clinic.
Dr Khilji graduated from De’Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore, in 1971, among the pioneering batches of the institution that shaped modern dental education in Pakistan. Soon after graduation, he moved to the United States to pursue advanced exposure in dentistry, returning later to Pakistan to establish his private practice near Data Darbar, Lahore, under the name Victoria Clinic.
Throughout his professional life, Dr Khilji remained closely associated with the Pakistan Dental Association, contributing to professional development and mentoring young practitioners. His dedication to clinical excellence, ethics, and patient-centered care earned him deep respect among peers and patients alike.
As years passed, Dr Khilji’s son, also a dental surgeon, took forward his father’s legacy by relocating Victoria Clinic to Wapda Town, Lahore, where Dr Khilji continued to practice for several years. In recent months, he had been battling illness with patience and dignity.
The funeral prayer (Namaz-e-Janaza) for Dr Khilji will be offered today after Zuhr prayer at F-2 Mosque, Wapda Town, Lahore. Friends, colleagues, and students are requested to attend and pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Dr Jamshed Ahmad Khilji will be remembered for his compassionate service, pioneering contribution to dentistry in Pakistan, and the generations of dental professionals he inspired. His passing marks the end of an era in Lahore’s dental fraternity.
