KARACHI: The Department of Operative Dentistry & Endodontics, in collaboration with the Department of Paediatric Dentistry, successfully organized a comprehensive Professional Bleaching Techniques workshop at Dental College HITEC-IMS. The event aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of bleaching procedures, improve patient selection skills, and enhance management of post-treatment care and complications.
The workshop began with an informative lecture by Prof. Dr. Beenish Qureshi, Head of the Department of Operative Dentistry & Endodontics. She presented evidence-based protocols for vital bleaching, focusing on clinical decision-making and patient-centered outcomes. Her session emphasized safe and effective practice for achieving optimal results in dental bleaching.
Following the lecture, Dr. Sharaz Ahmed conducted a detailed video demonstration of vital bleaching techniques, highlighting step-by-step procedures and essential safety measures. House officers then participated in supervised hands-on clinical practice, performing bleaching procedures under guidance from Prof. Dr. Beenish Qureshi, Dr. Amna Riaz, Dr. Sharaz Ahmed, and Dr. Summaya.
