Master periodontal surgeries workshop strengthens clinical skills at LCMD
KARACHI: The Liaquat College of Medicine & Dentistry (LCMD) successfully organized a CDE-accredited workshop titled “Master Periodontal Surgeries: Diagnosis, Suturing & Regeneration,” strengthening clinical periodontal skills for practicing dentists and postgraduate trainees.
The workshop was led by Dr. Ashar Jamelle and served as a post-congress conference affiliated with the Pakistan Association of Dental Students. The program combined an evidence-based lecture with a focused hands-on training module to translate theory into operative competence.
Facilitators and accreditation
Facilitators included Prof. Dr. Uzma Zareef, Dr. Tauseef Ahmed, Dr. Muhammad Abid, Dr. Arifa Haque, Dr. Ishma Binte Saeed and Dr. Nida Tariq, providing close supervision and expert feedback during practical sessions. The workshop awarded 2 CME hours accredited by Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), and CDE accreditation recognised the program’s educational quality.
