Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine holds precision implant placement workshop
KARACHI: The Department of Prosthodontics at Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM) recently organized a hands-on workshop on “Precision in Implant Placement” in collaboration with IZEN Implant. The event focused on enhancing the practical knowledge and clinical confidence of participants in implant dentistry, a rapidly advancing field that plays a pivotal role in modern restorative care.
The workshop was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Naseer Ahmed (Head of Department, Prosthodontics), Dr. Shujah Adil (Assistant Professor), Dr. Tooba Shabbir (Resident), and Dr. Aiman Yaseen (Resident). Their combined expertise offered participants a unique opportunity to learn directly from seasoned practitioners and emerging dental leaders.
Participants were introduced to implant drills, size selection techniques, and hands-on implant placement exercises using dummy models. To maximize learning, a live camera setup projected the entire procedure on screen, allowing every attendee to observe the demonstration in detail and replicate the techniques effectively.

The workshop attracted a diverse group of attendees, including BDS students, postgraduate trainees, and house officers from various dental colleges across Karachi.
