The academic activity was jointly organized by the Department of Pediatric Dentistry in collaboration with the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, reinforcing interdisciplinary learning in contemporary dental care.

The workshop focused on modern, safe, and effective pain and anxiety management strategies, with particular emphasis on pediatric and anxious dental patients. The session combined theoretical foundations with live patient demonstrations, offering participants direct exposure to nitrous oxide conscious sedation techniques.

Focus on evidence-based sedation practices

The workshop aimed to strengthen clinicians’ understanding of evidence-based conscious sedation, covering patient selection, safety protocols, clinical indications, and practical application. Participants gained hands-on insight into integrating nitrous oxide sedation into routine dental practice while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
