PDA releases audited financial statements before Lahore dental conference, meeting transparency commitment
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Dental Association has published its audited financial statements for the period Dec. 31, 2024 to Nov. 30, 2025, fulfilling a public commitment made by Central Council President Dr Khurshid Ahmad to disclose the association’s accounts before the annual International Dental Conference. The disclosure comes on the eve of the PDA International Dental Conference, which opens Dec. 26 at Expo Center Lahore and runs through Dec. 28.
The timely release, days before the flagship three-day conference, positions the move as a signal of democratic practice and financial transparency by the association’s leadership, aligning governance actions with pledges made to members earlier in October.
Clean audit with emphasis on accounting basis
The accounts carry an unmodified (clean) audit opinion from Muhammad Ishaq & Co., which reported that the statements “present fairly, in all material respects” the association’s financial position as at Nov. 30, 2025, and its financial performance and changes in funds for the period under review. The audit was conducted in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), with Muhammad Ishaq, ACA, named as the engagement partner.

Governance context, disclosures
In its notes, PDA states it is registered under the Societies Act, 1860, with objectives that include promoting dental and allied sciences, advancing public health and dental education, safeguarding the dignity of the profession, and protecting members’ rights and interests.
Transparency ahead of a marquee event
The publication of the audited accounts ahead of the International Dental Conference gives institutional context to the disclosure, following President Dr Khurshid Ahmad’s earlier assurance that the association’s finances would be prepared and made public before the Lahore event. With the conference opening December 26, the timing underscores an effort to pair the profession’s largest annual gathering with open financial reporting.
The audited statements are available publicly on PDA’s website.
