LAHORE: The 1st International Integrated Health Sciences & Research Conference 2025 marked a historic academic milestone for the NUR–Fatima Memorial System, reinforcing its growing stature as a hub for research-driven, interprofessional healthcare education in Pakistan.
Held recently at the FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry, the conference brought together medicine, dentistry, nursing, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology, and allied health sciences on a single integrated academic platform—a first of its kind initiative in the region.
A unified academic vision across health disciplines
Organized jointly by FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry, FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Saida Waheed FMH College of Nursing, and NUR International University, the conference reflected a strong commitment to collaborative learning and evidence-based practice.
The event was complemented by an extensive series of pre- and post-conference workshops, offering hands-on learning opportunities for students, residents, and faculty members.

Research, skills, and scholarly engagement
Demonstrating FMH’s robust research culture, the conference received 124 abstract submissions, including 75 oral presentations and 49 poster presentations, contributed by faculty members, postgraduate residents, and students.
Additionally, 17 hands-on workshops, led by 38 expert facilitators, provided participants with practical exposure to contemporary clinical and academic methodologies—bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Strengthening Pakistan’s integrated health sciences ecosystem
The conference concluded with a formal closing ceremony and awards distribution, celebrating scholarly excellence and collaborative achievement. More than just an academic event, the conference served as a platform for networking, dialogue, and future research partnerships, both nationally and internationally.
